Excellent Product

This ol' hillbilly never was much for tactical when it comes to hunting, but with my eyes bein' disagreeable (my brain believes I'm still 25, the rest of my body adamantly discourages that belief), I figured it would sure help my night hunts, and I would at least have some relief on that end of the ordeal, albeit case skinnin' the coyotes will still be difficult, and I have yet to see an Amazon product that will simplify that.

Once it came in, I hurriedly attached it to my crossbow, and I was very impressed with the simplicity. A quick note to anyone attaching to a crossbow, be sure it's in a position that will allow you to easily unscrew the cap for replacement of batteries. Battery charging time was short, and it ran for at least two hours while I played with it outside that night, with no indication that it was close to depleted. Speaking of playing with it outside, I didn't have the range to hit the 350 yards that was mentioned in the description. I did easily hit a distance of half that (175 yards), which by nighttime hunting standards is quite enough, and we'll betong an accurate reach on the crossbow I owned. I will say that at that distance it was still plenty bright enough to see objects clearly.
I found the in-line remote switch to be a dandy of an addon; the only issue with it is that there's no way to mount it via the manufacturer, easiest way will be two sided tape, but I'm going to do some patented hillbilly engineering to get it mounted better. That switch, when place just above the trigger on the stock is perfect, and the cord was more than long enough to reach that location from the front of the crossbow.
One correction in the description, though. It doesn't come with one battery, but two, which is also a blessing as one can be charging while the other is in use.

All in all, this is a fantastic product at a great price. I would highly recommend it, and I am actually considering getting another one for my 30-30. Time will tell in the hunts as to the distraction to animals, but with the additional research I've done, the green light seems to be the least apt to cause the animals to startle and run off.

Good light.

The body isn’t black, more of a gun metal grey. The light is a definite green and works well with NVGs, keeping your night vision without lasting eye spots, and is generally a normal sized weapon light. Comes with rat tail that has on/off and also momentary functions. Honestly the only thing they didn’t include is a zoom function… overall a great light for hunting and other such reasons you’d want one. Used it for a couple weekends now in a couple different scenarios and it has performed nicely.
